Hitotsu, dojo nomino karate to omou na - Karate goes beyond the dojo

Karate like many martial arts is a fun way for children and adults to achieve fitness and focus. While some may view it as a way to promote violence, it is quite the contrarary, as Karate is a martial art that trains the practitioner to be peaceful and respectful in all aspects of life. True Karate is based on the the principles of bushido -the way of the samurai- where the body, mind and spirit must be developed simultaneously as one. At the JKA of Manitoba North - Shotokan Karate Do Academy, we continue the long tradition set by the JKA/MB as keepers of the highest standards in Shotokan Karate.
